Welcome to my piano studio! I'm Dennise, a classical trained pianist, mom of two girls and two dogs and I absolutely love teaching piano and sharing my passion for music. There's nothing more rewarding than watching my students grow and believe in themselves as they become pianists. I strive to create a fun and positive environment in my lessons, filled with exciting challenges that encourage practice and make learning enjoyable!
My Story
I was born in a northern town in Mexico, where my love for music began at 8 with piano lessons. By the age of 12, I was also learning the violin and performing in both school and community orchestras. At 16, I started teaching younger kids under the instruction of my music teacher. I moved to USA at the age of 18 to pursue a music degree. My college job was teaching piano at the Youth Conservatory owned by BYU-Hawaii. I graduated from BYU-Hawaii in 2011 with a piano degree. After I graduated I worked teaching piano group classes at BYU-H and I still kept my job at the YC. In 2014, my husband and I moved to Utah. Over the years, I’ve grown Utah Piano Lab, a dream I’ve had since I was 16.
